These Safety Net Programs are designed to help you with your financial stability until you find a new job. Think of them as an insurance policy that youíve been paying into and now need to utilize.

COBRA Continuation Health Coverage:

You may be eligible for COBRA Health Coverage while you search for your next job. This video will explain COBRA continuation benefits, how to qualify, when coverage begins and who pays for it.

Healthy Montana Kids:

If your job provided healthcare benefits for you and your family and youíre worried now that your children donít have health insurance; you still have options. The Healthy Montana Kids Program is one of those options. This video will give you a brief summary of what Healthy Montana Kids is and how it may be able help you during this transition.

Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program:

If you are paying rent for your home and are in danger of being evicted, the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program may be able to help. This video will give you a brief introduction to the program and help you find out where you can apply.

LIEAP:

Winters can be harsh in Montana, but paying your heating bill doesnít have to be. Now that youíve gone through and determined your budget; you may have realized you need help paying your energy bill or you need help making your home more energy efficient. This video will introduce you to the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) and Weatherization Program and will help you determine if either program is right for you.

School Nutrition Program:

If you are worried that you cannot afford to pack a lunch or pay for hot lunch at your childís school; the Free and Reduced Price School Meal Program can ease that worry for you. This video will describe the program and tell you how to sign up.

Depending on what your monthly income is during this transition, you may need help purchasing groceries until you get back on your feet.
